Season record: 26-7. A couple of tough ones out there for Friday. The Swami says.............
West- 12 Berkner- 5 (Wolves have more sticks)
Rock- 9 Plano- 2 (Mismatch here)
And then 2 good games with alot at stake:
LH- 5 East- 4 (Giangulio over Wroblewski in a game that will KO East from playoff contention)
Allen- 5 McK- 4 (Tolly will put the Lions on the brink of elimination as well)
These last 2 could go either way. If I'm right on both, the top 3 seeds are close to being locked up- just a matter of who gets which seed.
It's been a strange year. A couple of funny bounces have separated the top 3 much earlier than most would've expected. 9-5 still has a mathematical chance at 3rd, but it's pretty doubtful. East definitely needs to win out and get some help to get in at 9-5. McKinney needs to win out and 10-4 should get in. And LH, Rock, and Allen better not get too comfortable yet. As I say every year, at least 1 of the 9-5A teams will reach Round 4 of the playoffs. You won't see better pitching than Tolleson, Humphries, Bishop, Arrieta, Wroblewski, Verhagen, Sawyer, etc. until Round 4. These teams are battle-tested. I will miss 9-5A next year. A good day to all.

I guess I'll reply to myself since nobody else will. Are you guys bored because I'm right all the time this year or have I simply worn out my welcome? Do I have to pick 4 upsets to get someone stirred up enough to post? Where is everybody? Good gosh- we're in the heart of the season. The district stretch run. Teams trying to clinch. Teams fighting to stay alive. Beautiful weather. Scouts everywhere.
And I can't get anybody to talk to me. I don't get it. Let's talk some ball around here!!!!!
C'mon P-daddy.

Swami, I don't know what the problem is. It has been a slow forum all year. I don't know if it is because Bighit is not participating as much, or that P-Dad doesn't have a son on the East team this year. We also don't have utspanam talking all the crazy talk he used to do. Maybe you are right about wearing out your welcome.

Swami...I'll talk to you...

our team is struggling...for one week we were tied for first place...that was a history making moment for our town... Smile

now with the errors and the bats not working...no matter what you do on the mound it gets pretty messy at times...we've dropped down into 3rd...

mine's having a good season...he pitches..of our 3 wins, 2 of those W's belong to him...

and what is nice...in one game he pitched a complete game..a 4 hitter...9 K's...against a rival we have never beaten....

that felt good...it's the same field that my son threw on last year when took a line drive to the elbow on the mound in the first inning...ended up in emergency...with thank the Lord only a bruise...

we play a team we've beaten tonight...but, we better all show up...or...it won't be pretty...

Pam

Swammy Boy - No you have not worn out your welcome, just is everybody gets tired of you tooting your own horn all the time.. I figured that I would just let you enjoy your self by your self, and maybe that's the case with all of the other posters too.

OK, Warm fuzzy to the Swami....I like the posts. I follow 9-AAAAA everyday during baseball season and it's neat to have other people share in that interest. The picks are fun and most of the time right on. Many times I look in without making a reply just to see what the buzz is at that time.

With that begin said, anyone know who will go against Tolley tonight in McKinney? Kratz or Green? With the wind blowing so hard pop-ups and drives to right will be a challenge to say the least.

West- 12 Berkner- 5 (Agree)
Rock- 9 Plano- 2 (Agree)
LH- 5 East- 4 (East in an upset)
Allen- 5 McK- 4 (Give me the Lions in another upset. Maybe Green will surprise the Eagles, but if he doesn't keep his ball low and away it will be church, both Smiths and Glove will have to come thru bigtime)

I agree with you JoeDaddy. East must win tonight or else they aint gonna be in the playoffs, so I know Wroblewski will be on fire tonight. Mck will be fighting hard because they are in the same boat.

I saw Drew Carlisle pitch in relief in the McKinney - Plano East game recently. I thought he looked good.

Rockwall 11 Plano 6

Rockwall scores 6 in the first inning thanks to a bomb from Bishop and a bomb to dead center by Kieschnick. The lead was too much for Plano to overcome as Rock scores 2 in the 5th and 6th and 1 in the 7th. Emerson Halstead tallys three hits on the game. Kieschnick has two bombs.

W.P. Sawyer 6 IP 5 hits 7 k's 1 ER

L.P. Zea 4 2/3 IP

Well, for all intents & purposes, 9-5A is over. Allen up 3 over Mck with 4 to play.

LH over East tonight -- ugly. I'm in mourning for the Panthers. It's true that I'm not quite as active here because I have no sons at East.

But HSU is tied for first in the ASC West -- and Lon Morris College is having a respectable season, despite being very young...even by JUCO standards. Oh, and Team Texas (14U) is 17-3. Smile We're at the 90 game mark -- the teams are 54-35-1.

Keep it up Swami -- and I too miss that UTPANSCAM dude (never thought I'd type that) Wink hmmmm.....UTPANAM -- still got that MLB #1 overall pick hidden somewhere in 9-5A?

Congrats to Rock, LH, and Allen

Rockwall -- 9-1
LH -- 9-1
Allen -- 8-2

McK -- 5-5
East -- 4-6 Frown
West -- 4-6
Berk -- 1-9
Plano -- 0-10

-PD

chat By all accounts he is somewhere in the middle of the first round.. That's my best educated guess at this point.. Things can change as the next 60 days evolve.

I can see Swami predicting that Lake Highlands will be the first team in the district to go 10-1. Guess he thinks that they will beat Berkner 8-7 at the Ballpark in Arlington. Way to start out the week 1-1; on your way to another 4-4!Keep up the good work!
