Dr. Conway is in your neck of the woods. I have spoken with numerous people and he comes highly recommended. In the Dallas area Dr. Cooper at the Carrell Clinic. Coopers does the Cowboys and the Stars. Below is Dr. Coopers web-site.
Dr. Conway's specialty is elbows and shoulders, Dr. Keith Watson is shoulder man only. Both are excellent. If for a young athlete trying to keep a dream alive, I would only go to Dr. Conway, he knows sports medicine. If for me just a hurt shoulder I would go to whomever could see me first.

Well I would just go to anyone but this is my 4th trip around the block with this so I want it done right. I'm a serious bowhunter and I want to make sure I can still shoot after it's done so that makes me an athlete that wants to keep my dream alive.
Dr. Mesiter worked on my shoulder when I was injured. I didn't need surgery, all I needed was rehab. But his clinic and facilities are top of the line.

I know exactly how you feel. My son had reoccuring elbow problems for a few years in a row. We had been to a couple of different dr's and he would always reinjure himself. I finally called Dr. Meister and I can honestly tell you it was the best phone call I've ever made. It's been two years and no arm problems at all. He is top notch all the way.
I bowhunt also so I feel your pain.

Let me throw another name into the ring here. Dr. Don Buford in Dallas is a former major league ballplayer (Orioles). His dad (Don, Sr) also played for the O's and brother Damon played briefly for the Rangers.
He's now an orthopedic surgeon -- specializes in shoulders & knees. We've used him twice -- both times for my son, a pitcher. He's excellent! Knows his profession and obviously knows basball.
Best way to contact him is via the website for his sports medicine clinic. (www.SMCNT.com)
