I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. I'm going to try-outs next Monday even though my son is already on the varsity. I need a fix, BAD!

It should be pretty intresting at McKinney Boyd High School this year. Brand new School, some familiar faces, some unknown. The tryouts should be fun. I'm going to try to see at least one day...

Baseball is back.. No more THUMP,THUMP!!! party

Better watch out, I know you are new to the forum, but every year there is a LONG "conversation" whether or not you should watch practice/tryouts.

TimeToStepUp leaders lead and managers hold on; You are right at my age I'm not going to swing a bat nor throw a ball. But you must admit I have put together some really good teams.

He calls a mean game though. Wink In a good way of course SWAC.

I need those corners if you're ever calling a game I'm pitching.

So far, I have seen most if not all of my son's high school practices and games. I hope this coach doesn't mind a spectator. I sit quietly and just watch. Shoot, I like to watch all the kids grow as players through the years. Plus it helps me learn who's who.

Come out to Mansfield Summit, tryouts and practices are open. The only thing I ask is that you sit in the bleachers to watch.

Sophomore-Senior tryouts are M-F, 1:45-4:15pm
Freshman - 4:30pm-6:30pm

Don't understand what the big fuss is about in not letting people watch tryouts. My focus is on the field, not who is in the stands! Just like a game!

Remember dtiger unofficially the plate is 26" across. Thats about 3" inches in/out. KD before you say anything get the ruler out. Smile bighair

Good luck to all the players starting Monday.

I see nothing wrong with watching practice occasionally. As long as you rememner to be respectful of the coaching staff and others. I see no problem with it.
