17sbigbrother,

Are you out there? We have arrived in Joplin, Mo. and is it storming and humid. Just wondering if your brother is here with the Arlington A's? Hope the weather is not a repeat of the WWBA tourney in Atlanta. We (Dunlins Dodgers) are in pool 4 this time.
I see lots of teams from Texas-this state puts out great ball players!!
Good Luck!

Sunshinesmom,

No, I'm not in Joplin. I choose to attend the University of Nebraska tournament in June instead. However, my mother is out there with my little brother Stewart, #13....he's a lefty pitcher and plays 1B. They arrived in Joplin around 4pm today. They are all staying at the La Quinta. There are two Arlington A's teams there....my little brother is playing on the 17U A's Allen team. They are in the same division as the McKinney Marshalls. I know...I hope you guys have good weather this time. I did see there were a bunch of Texas teams in the tourney. Well, feel free to meet my mother Beverly; however, I must warn you...she will talk your ear off.

Good luck to you guys too!! I know my brother's team has a double header tomorrow...first game at 10:30 and the next at 1pm.

My mom and brother were at the opening banquet. Well, it doesn't look we will face you guys until the Championship or Consolation rounds. We only play the Burkburnett Blacksox (seed #13) in your bracket. Good luck to you guys today!

the only two score I know are:
Dulins Dodgers-5
Sioux City Bancrofts-4

the game before us was 8-0 and I don't know who was 8 and who was 0. It was the Burkburnett Blacksox and the Columbia Angels.

we have another game at 7 at the same place. Is there a certain team you are wanting scores-I will try and find out for you.

The McKinney Marshals defeated the Arlington A's this morning 11-2 behind a great pitching performance by Daniel Fails. Not sure of the line(he had a perfect game through 3 until a walk), but he pitched a heck of a game and the Marshals hit pretty well good.

Next Mashals game tonight at 7 pm vs. Kyle Chapman. Will update later tonight.

Thanks!

The McKinney Marshals 17U team split today with a win earlier and a loss tonight against Houston Kyle Chapman in front of 12-16 college guys...it sounds like our boys pooped the bed as they made 3-4 errors...We play the KC Sluggers manana to see if we can escape the pool in one piece...

Dallas Mustangs - Randle 17U
The team is 2-0 and currently first in their pool. They won over Austin Slam 10-1 in 5 innings (Cameron White -Win) and beat the KC Blue 9-8 in a tight one..

thanks 643,

We lost 3-1 last night to the Columbia Angels. So we are 1-1. We play at noon today again the Burkburnett Blacksox.
We have trouble batting against smaller pitchers that pitch in the low 70's-throws us all off until one of our guys will hit it just right and out the park it goes-which only happened once last night!!

Take Care

From what I can tell, these are the teams that are advancing to the "championship bracket":

Midwest Natls
Houston Heat
Houston Kyle Chapman Blue
McKinney Marshals
Austin Slam Senators
Arlington A's-Olivo
Columbia Angels
Dulins Dodgers 17u
Indiana Bulls Black
Wichita Sluggers
South Tx Sliders
Pittsburg ??
Rawlings Prospects-Reed
Dallas Mustangs-Randle
Austin Wings Black
Baxter Springs

I'm not sure if they are using a wildcard format this week. It was used last week in Cincinnatti, based on record & runs allowed.

643,

I think you are correct. the coaches are having a meeting tonight and we were told the schedules that are posted for tomorrow are not correct.
We are in the championship bracket-how do they decide what teams we will play tomorrow? Am I correct in saying now we will play outside our original pool? the houston heat is in the hotel with me and they are huge-I would hate to have their grocery bill-somewhere our tennessee boys missed the meeting on eating starches and vegetables!!

I saw the Heat 18s last week...and they are big boys as well!

If I remember correctly, the pool winners are seeded 1-8...2nd place in pools 9-16..both based on W's and runs allowed...or something to that affect.
