Way to go Eamonn 14

I personally am hoping to see him named as pitcher of the year in district. He's done a great job and worked hard through the shadows to get there!!

We don't have to play you guys anymore so hopefully he can get the W in all his remaining games!!!!

Lamar had a bye and the kids got a very well-received Friday off. Looks like we need to win out to guarantee our spot while AHS has some breathing room.

Agree, good pitcher, throws from the wrong side and that is a plus. Did he receive and offers from college? Does he throw in the mid 80's? That in itself should get him some hits.

Thanks Bluesky, Eamonn has worked real hard this year and we are very proud of him!

Nickpa, he does throw in the mid 80's sometimes a little harder. As far as offers, he has some things in the works.

Not interested in Coach of the Year, been there done that. Very interested in making the playoffs and advancing. Not making the playoffs last year for the first time was a bad experience.

By the way, knocking off Martin Friday night 14-7 was real sweet. Davault battled, every one in the line up had at least one hit. Even down 7-4 my kids were like, "coach, don't worry, we got this." I think the corner has been turned.

go vols
good luck on your remaining games. Not all kids in Arlington are as fortunate to have a dedicated baseball coach who teaches the game and helps kids get to the next level. Most AISD schools have a football coach coaching baseball vs the other way around. Good luck on getting to the playoffs as I believe it should be yours for the taking as several Arlington schools have imploded and more look to be on the way.

04and10,

Thanks, I just do what I do. Some people don't like the way I do things, others do. I gave up a long time ago trying to make EVERYONE happy. The bottom line is that I do what I do in the best interest of the kids that I coach. I wish your son the best of luck in college and I hope that it is a better experience for him.

Baseball is the greatest sport in the world. Baseball is life, it is literary, it transcends time...there is nothing like it. I can talk about it for hours and trust me, I can get someone to write me a note to verify that for all of you.

This has been a great district season and the finish ought to be real interesting.

It's good to hear that you are taking the best interest of your kids. You have a proven track record of winning and helping kids get to the next level. A win Friday should put you in the playoffs. Good luck

I am sure the college experince will be better and son is looking forward to making the jump from high school to college where he will get quailty coaches who are dedicated to thier craft.

Just saw where son's future school (New Mexico JC) finished the regular season 43-8 are ranked 18th nationaly. Strange how son is good enough to get a scholarship to pitch for a nationaly recognized program but because I(dad) make a stand against the booster club (we follow none of the UIL guidlines) son gets punished for my actions. Thier have been numerous other off the field issues that have been voiced to the coaches and administration and they have resulted in aditional retailiation. You never know how the politics of HS baseball will pan out and son was fortunate that he signed early but you wish he would have been given an opportunity to compete during his senior season.

It looks like you have righted the ship over there at Bowie. Your kids deserve the success that is now coming thier way. Good luck

Too bad we can't get him over here for a playoff run. After all, you can never have enough pitching!

He will love the life of being a college baseball player.
