The Texas Cardinals Baseball Club will be holding tryouts on Nov. 29th from 2-4pm and on Dec.5th from 12:30-2:30 @ Collin County College Field. This is the home field for the Cardinals Baseball Club.
The Cardinals Baseball Club is co-founded by Lance Hayes and Brian Gaffney.
Brian Gaffney
Coach Brian Gaffney is co-founder of the Texas Cardinals Baseball Program. Coach Gaffney has been coaching Texas High School baseball for 9 years, and is Head Baseball Coach at John Paul II High School in Plano, TX where he was recognized as TAPPS 1-6A Coach of the Year in 2006. Coach Gaffney is a graduate of Sam Houston State where he was an All-Conference infielder for the Bearkats and was part of the 1996 Southland Conference Championship team. Brian and his wife Hope reside in Rockwall with their five-year-old daughter, Grace.
Lance Hayes
Coach Lance Hayes is co-founder and lead instructor for the Texas Cardinals Baseball program. Coach Hayes has been coaching for 5 years and has a track record of success coaching other select clubs in the metro area. Coach Hayes is Assistant Varsity Coach at John Paul II High School in Plano, after starting his teaching and coaching career in Rockwall. A graduate of the University of Kansas, where he led off and played centerfield for the Jayhawks, Coach Hayes brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Texas Cardinal’s baseball program. Lance and wife Rachel reside east of Rockwall in Fate, TX.
