4-0 on Friday. Season record: 30-7.
The district continues to separate as East looks like they're playing for pride now and McKinney is on Life Support. Looking at the schedule left, the 1st round bye is up for grabs. Allen could still win it, coming in the back door. LH and Rock appear to be "just getting by." Rock definitely has toughest schedule left and will surely finish the season vs. Tolly and Humphreys. Ouch. We'll find out if this state ranking is justified or not. Here are Tuesday's picks. The Swami says.....
Rock- 8 McKinney- 3 (Lions eliminated)
East- 6 West-5 (Wolves have sticks, but lack of pitching still haunts them)
And my biggest upset pick of the year:
Plano-7 Allen-6
My reasons are 3-fold:
1. Plano on an emotional high after beating LD Bell. They won't go 0-14.
2. Allen will try to sleepwalk through this one and get burnt late.
3. The top 3 teams haven't slipped yet to the bottom tier. It's gonna happen sometime.
A good day to all.

2-2 won't hurt the season stats that much!

Rockwall vs. Mckinney will be a good game. Mckinney will have their home crowd and they have to win out in order to make the playoffs and have help from other teams. So I'm guessing they will bring their A game. And Rockwall will come out fighting hard for they are looking to grab a first round bye in the playoffs. I'm doubting it will be an 8-1 game like it was last time so I'm guessing a 5-2 Rockwall win. And as far as Plano beating Allen I don't know about that one. However Plano West did beat Allen last year to get their only win in district last year. It is an unusually daring pick for the Swami. How would they settle a two or three way tie for first after district play???

I believe Berkner, Plano West, and Plano are capable of an upset of 1 of the big 3. The #2 pitchers for the top 3 aren't dominating, and these 3 bottom-tier teams have enough sticks to pull it off if a pitcher makes a mistake or two at the wrong time. It hasn't happened all year. That's why I feel like it's due to happen. Berkner is s****** enough to do it. Plano is playing hard to not go 0-14. And West is a couple of pitchers away from being a pretty good team. With all that said, I stand by my pick----Plano shocks the world and knocks off Allen- even if they put Tolly on the hill. Tolly, by the way, is the most dominating pitcher I've seen in this area in a few years. Coach Pool is sitting pretty. for 2 more years with this guy. The Swami has spoken.

Well, 1 of the top 3 did go down. However, I didn't expect it to be Rockwall. McKinney is fighting for their playoff lives and apparently wanted it more than the Rock. Plano played Allen tough as I'd predicted, but no upset special for me on this day. 1-2 record on the day- my first sub-.500 performance of the season. Thank you Plano East for getting me on the board. I'll be back later with early Friday lines. Season record: 31-9. A good day to all.
