Johnnie, I haven't heard anything about either one of them playing. I don't know a thing about Chase or his baseball ability. I do know that Herbel can play. He moved to McKinney when he was 14 and OPson played against him plenty back when he was 13. The kid had a rocket arm then, and the way he throws a football.......WOW! There are also rumors that Blake Mooney is coming out as well. He has the ability to be our starting SS, he's that talented. He's also one of the top high jumpers in the state, so he's going to try and balance baseball and track. I'm going to go tonight and watch practice. Coach G has them working out from 6-9. I can't wait to see how Chase does and then when basketball's over, here comes Nico Taylor (ever heard of him?!!, Eric & Blake! Fun times for sure!! That is a fine group of athletes over at North. Mooney ,like OP said, can flat out leap. I believe he played Baseball a few years back. I imagine he has great range at the SS position. With Herbels cannon 3rd base might not be a bad place for him.. Of course I'm only speculating.. OP, yes I've heard of and seen Nico Taylor play. He is quite a talent. I cant leave out "YOUR BOY".. Saw him pitch against Puerto Rico last Summer.. He pitched a hell of a game.

JA, Give me a shout when we play Boyd. I'd love to meet you. Thanks for the kind words about Matt. He did OK that night. Would have been nice to get a run across in regulation though!! Good luck to the Broncos.......ya'll have one great coach and an even better man in Coach Milam. JA.......I have seen the field from the drive up above it. I want to get on the field and see it up close. It is an amazingly beautiful field and an awesome setting with the trees lining the right field fence. I drive by it every day to and from work, and I check it out every time I go by. The softball field and football field are amazing as well. You guys should be proud. BTW......if you haven't seen North's field lately, you will be surprised. We have spent over $10,000 on improvements and it looks really nice. How did the first week of practice go? Hey 4leafclover, how have you been? Yes,DA is ready to go. He hasn't competed since Football got finished. He's been lifting and running a bunch in the off season. I think he's pretty excited that baseball is firing up. I want to say they had about 60- 65 come out to tryout this year. They kept like 50 on the 3 teams FR,JV,V.. So, how are ZL and BL doing? I saw B won District in wrestling, what a surprise.. Go get that State Title this Year. I'm sure Z is ready to rock and roll. McKinney High should be pretty good this Season. They may surprise some folks. I wont be one of them.. I agree that MHS needs some better facilities but I doubt that will be a priority anytime soon. Lion field is a good field inside the lines. It's the foul territory I hate. It's like falling off a mountain when you cross the line. I always see someone lose their balance going for a foul ball. Well, me and mom will see you at the ball park. Talk to you later.. J
