My son is looking for a summer team to play on. He is a sophomore, 16yrs old. Plays on his varisty team as a catcher. Any info would be appreciated. Also, we noticed that there are usually 2 categories in ages. Should he be trying to play for teams 16 and under or 18 and under?

Lew- I putting together a Dallas Mustangs team for this Summer, and am in need of catching. I would be intrested in seeing your son work out. You can visit our website at www.eteamz.com/dallasmustangsbaseball. We are under the "Teams" section and are Dallas Mustangs Team Meadows. I am a college coach, and a former Division 1 College Catcher.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Coach Meadows and have watched his team play a few times this spring. He crosses me as an energetic young man who has a strong desire to coach and teach. His back ground is solid. Any 16 year old player with aspirations of catching should explore the opportunity to play for him this summer. I can't imagine a better opportunity for a catcher who wants to learn from a coach that has been there and done it. He's a college coach, a college recruiter, a former starting catcher at a good D1 school and has set his sights on becoming an integral part of DFW - N. TX amateur baseball.

PanAm, What's going on? All of the sudden, you seem polite and professional. Did Steinbrenner give you a raise or something? I figured you'd be in Spring Training doing some scouting or down by the border watching your Division 3 Broncs play. The Swami has spoken.

Well Swim Swam - At least this time you didn't spell Broncs incorrectly - it's taken you a while buddy (or is it buddie?).. Bronco's Bronchos...The last time I checked they were 11-10 on the season and had just swept the TX AM CC Islanders. They host UTA this weekend. And No George doesn't need me right now - so I am out beating the bush and watching some good ball being played.
