Our son had the same decision. He chose college. Got hurt in college, came back from injury. Had the choice again after junior season. Went back for senior season instead and got to play in the CWS and completed his degree. Made far less money signing out of college than he would have signing out of HS...or even after junior year in college. If he would've played pro ball out of HS and had the same injury, he likely wouldn't be playing any more today...playing career would've been shortened. I have asked him several times if he regrets his decisions. Without one second of hesitation, the answer is no. None. In fact, he says he wouldn't have wanted to miss all that he experienced as a college baseball player, especially as a senior. Everyone has their reasons. There is no right answer for all. Its all a matter of perspective. I'm most happy for those that are happy with the decisions they make. Thats when you know you made a good one! Glad yours feels the same way from the other side of the fence wvmtner.

What is the real prize? Justbaseball makes a good point, whatever the decision one must never look back and regret what it was. The real prize is moving forward when one door closes. Good luck to your son.
