Just found out that AA Binghamton RHP Phil "Humby" Humber just got that call all minor league players dream of....a call to the show by parent club, New York Mets who are going to win the pennant and who knows what else.

Having watched this fine prospect up close and personal, firsthand, rebound from TJ surgery and regain all his talents he had when he led the Rice Owls team to a National Championship has been an absolute honor and privilege.

Pitching instructor, Mr Robert Ellis, deserves credit along with all the Mets pitching coaches for working with this major leaguer as well as the fantastic job of the surgeon who performed the actual TJ procedure a little over a year ago.

This "PLAYER" is a winner we should all be proud of here at HSBBW who fits right in with the rest of the winners here!

Peace,
Shep

Well, it's public knowledge now about Phil "Humby" Humber joining the team today and receiving his own locker.

There is an excellent press release at the New York Mets website titled, "Humber Settles In".

This story just hit the press at around 4:30EDT
and is an excellent review and inspirational!!!
peace, Shep Knows

Congratulations to Humber from Texas. He has been an influence on my son. Another good ole Texas boy in the Bigs!

Congratulations to Phil Humber in his debut today for the NY Mets. One inning of shutout pitching for Humby. Keep up the good work brother Smile

Bet Russell Branyan's dad Keith and Padres are smiling about right now concerning late-acquisition of the tape-measure hitting gold glove third baseman. Wink

Peace Board and especially Bullwinkle,
Shep
