Fame can be fleeting so be prepared--- a short few years back Carlos Pena came to the bigs with Rookie of the Year written all over him

Last year he signs a 2.8 million contract

This spring he goes 1 for60 and he is released getting paid just under 700,000 to buy him out

Today he is out of baseball--it happens folks

The computed average time a player puts in the majors is 4 years, if they make it that far.
The game is meant for a chosen few to remain in as long as they have.

Funny thing:

I made this post and then later in the day the Yankees announce they have signed Carlos to a minor league contract--I think we will see Carlos in a Yankee uniform very shortly
