To my friends that asked about Marcos:
After losing the whole 2006 season due to knee injury, and one month of spring trainning with a pulled muscle, and considering that his previous years at short season ball he never finished a season because injuries. Taking in consideration that he started 2007 season one month after first pitch, 2007 was really his first baseball season.
He was leader of his team in hits, BB, and batting average amount those with enough at bats to qualify.
He was second in 2b's hits and one of the best in OPS, and RC/game. He was named ofensive player of the year for Hagerstown Suns Fans Club, but the most important thing was that The Washington Nationals invited him to Instructional League. We are very happy with this new opportunity he has of become a baseball prospect. Again, I thank GOD because in the whole year, Marcos's knee never bothered him, like I said once: God did his job perfectly and Marcos took advantage of it with his hard work.

I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger and bigger, and then it hit me.

Racab,

Everyone around here loves Marcos and hopes he makes it to the Big Leagues. His story will be a great one. Racab you're pretty special, too and you deserve a happy ending.

This is a wonderful post and thread. Recovering from injury while competing successfully and at a high level during the rigors of a minor league season takes heart and courage combined with enormous spirit.
Congratulations to your son, Racab.
There is clearly more to him than his skills as a baseball player. applaude
