Is this new? Son rec'd an email from MLB scouting bureau and was told to take it online. 3 years ago in HS it was a paper copy of a psych test, but I don't remember what it was called. Anyone who has taken it, any experience would be helpful. Is it lengthy? Is it timed? Once you log in, do you have to finish it in one sitting? Thanks

Don't know about the test on line but son took one several years ago and it was not timed. and there is no right or wrong answers.. Its about getting to know "you and your personality. some of the questions were:
"I usually enjoy spending time talking with friends about social events or parties" a. true b. ? c. false
"I can be quite comfortable even in a disorganized setting"
a. true b. ? c. false
" In dealing with people its better to :" a.put all your cards on the table. b.? c. play your hand close to your chest
"It would be more interesting to be a musician than a mechanic?" a. true b.? c. false
"What this world needs is" a. more steady ,solid citizens b.? c. more reformers with opinions about how to improve the world

I was waiting for more people to answer this. I remember son took it online in HS but in college, I saw that he had to answer paper versions while home in December. I have to agree with Lafmom, there are no right or wrong answers. I think when we hear psych we think negative, but appears to me to be more of personality type testing.

My son took two this summer, while playing in the Cape League. Both were the hardcopy variety. One was timed, one was not. There are obviously different variations. Didn't know they had an on-line version.

If I remember correctly son took one online in hS given by MLB area scout, I do not remember the paper version. I am thinking that the paper version was given mostly last year at college because he had already taken one in HS?

I took a few last year. The one from the MLSB was online, the ones from the teams were hardcopies. There was a special website that the MLSB scout linked me to with a login and password so I could take the test.
Very convenient.
