I did a search and can't find the answer -
There were kids passed over in the draft - is it possible for them to go to open tryouts and get signed? If so - does anyone have an understanding of how that would work? You go, you perform, they like you - then what? Thanks for any insight you can give on this subject.

I believe if not drafted, they are free agents. I know one kid suppose to go early, it didn't work out in the draft. He is a free agent now and many teams are trying to sign him.
