Is there some place to go to get area scout contact information? Also, if son has been contacted by 10 organizations so far would it be okay to contact other organizations and let them know about him. Two scouts who visited already have said that they just learned about him recently so with it being so close to senior season would like to get the word out to more.

We purchased a book from Baseball America that lists all of the scouts for the different organizations. Was very helpful to us.

gpct,
If one team heard about your son most likely they all will know by spring.

I am not so sure, but in my opinion, not too cool for parents to make initial calls to scouts.

I agree with Tiger Paw Mom. However, you may want to get an advisor that can let people know your son is out there.

Here's an article on ML Scouting Bureau that you may find interesting. If your son has filled out a registration with MLSB, they send the info on to all the scouts.

PG also sends out info.
You'll find it's a pretty "tight knit" community & they all network.

gpct8500,
I think my kid might throw at me if I did that. TPM is right,It would not be cool to make contact with them. They will find your player, more definite if 10 teams have already talked to him.

Good luck
