tasmit ... MLB also credits Zach with one unearned run. Here is a statement from the Rockies' story on MLB: Colorado stopped Duke's scoreless-innings streak at 22 when it tallied in the top of the sixth. Holliday singled and came around to score on a fielder's choice coupled with an error by shortstop Wilson.I totally agree that even one earned run is impressive, but this is even more so.

This guy is one of THE most influential writers in Baseball. When he starts writing about you boy, that's HUGE! From the New york Times By MURRAY CHASS Published: July 24, 2005 Duke Seems to Be Slam Dunk Zach Duke seems like a name worth learning and remembering. A 22-year-old left-handed rookie, Zach has started four games for Pittsburgh and has a 3-0 record and 0.93 earned run average. It's early in his career, but that's an impressive stretch in any part of anyone's career, let alone the start of it. He has allowed one run (none earned) in his last three starts covering 22 innings, and he has pitched seven or eight innings in each start.
