Finally, after 3 years of college, and many teasing opportunities. I finally signed with the Houston Astros organization in early August. As i was in Short A, i realized there is nothing else i'd rather be doing and will fight to do it for the rest of my life. Thanks to all!!!!!

Kirk - I am not sure if you are aware of it or not, but my son has been on two teams now that have faced your teams. You faced each other for the first time this spring when Creighton traveled to Coastal. You faced each other again this summer in the NY-Penn league. I am not sure if you have ever pitched to him or not but it is a small world - eh?
Kirk, your accomplishment is tremendous. Very few make it where you are - the air is thin. Work hard and enjoy the ride, kid! We'll all be watching and rooting you on!!!!

When I mentioned above "I like the numbers 93, 94, and 95." ... folks might have already figured this out: Kirk is of course a pitcher, and those numbers were from recent articles about him, describing the game speed of some of his pitches.
Kirk, we hope you will stop by from time to time with anything you are willing to share about your baseball experience. It is great fun for all of us to read, and also helps the younger players to understand the whole journey a little better!
Best wishes,
Julie
