Chris, who is a shortstop in the Royals system has just been selected to play in the Arizona Fall League where he will be with the Surprise Rafters. For those who might not know, Chris is the son of njbb, one of nicest and most respected posters on the site. Before he passed away, bbscout posted numerous times about Chris. Commented on both his ability and mental qualities to succeed in Milb and MLB. bbscout was equally as effusive about Chris as he was for Dustin Pedroia, and that is high praise indeed. Chris already has been the BA selection as the best defensive infielder in the Royals system and the selection to play in the AFL means he has MLB skills and qualities. It is a wonderful honor for a terrific player. Congrats to Chris and njbb, who must be so very proud of her son, for very good reasons.

Congratulations to you and Chris. The AFL is full of top ML prospects and Chris is one of them. That is great news. I spent a week or so there when my son played. It was a lot of fun, I hope you can get down there and spend some time. Best of luck.
