I think it should be very interesting to see what kind of rosters they put together. I understand they are trying to target guys that are A and A+ level players. I would think they will get bigger crowds than current Flordia State League, which by all accounts gets the worst turnout of any league in the minors.

Most FSL games are not well attended because most teams are very far away from their home team. Exception would be for the Rays (large attendance at a new A+ facility). I don't know much about this league, whether it is a paid league or not, but had heard about it a month or two ago. They are trying to target the low A guys, anyone who needs to put in time who didn't this year to improve their game and not able to play out of country. Because they disbanded the Hawaiian league, MLB tried to form a league in AZ for lower A players, but it didn't go through in time, look for next year to possibly have a league there for those players, or for the FL league to expand.
Forget the potholes in the road and celebrate the journey instead...anonymous

Um, The GCL, Gulf Coast League might be worse. I went to two games, both at noon in July. Grandstand access was through the home dugout. I counted all the spectators on two hands.
I haven't been to a FSL game with less than 1,000.
It will be interesting to see how the new league shapes up. I read the league pays $800 to $1200 per month. I didn't know the Hawaiian league went away.

WWW.HENRYSBASEBALLCLUB.COM 781 891 0621 SPOKE WITH MICKEY FILIPPUCCI, PRESIDENT OF THE FWBL HE SAID IT IS BASED ON THE INDEPENDENT LEAGUES FORMAT. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE SIGNED BY A SCOUT AS IN AFILATED BASEBALL. YOU CAN GO ON THE TRYOUT DATES THAT THEY HAVE POSTED. HE AND I BOTH RECEIVED A LIST OF ABOUT 600 RELESED PLAYERS. SO THE QUESTION IS WHERE DO SO MANY PLAYERS COME FROM. SO FOR THE PROCRASTENATORS THAT KEEP SAYING THAT, I WILL DO IT WHEN I AM READY. FORGET IT!! AND LET ME TELL YOU FROM A LITTLE BIT OF INSITE AS TO HOW HARD IT IS TO MAKE IT. THE NEW YORK METS HAVE 4 ROOKIE TEAMS, THEY ARE AS FOLLOWS, 1. KINGSPORT, LG APP 2.METS LG GCL, 3. METS LG DSL 4. METS LG VSL. THAT EQUALS ABOUT 100 PRO AND SKILLED BASEBALL TALENT. BUT THE PROBLEN THEY ONLY HAVE 1 SINGLE LOW A TEAM. 100 PLAYERS BUT ONLY 25 SPOTS TO ADVANCE TO. AND THOSE PROCRASTENATORS LISCEN GOOD. THE SF GIANTS FOUND A 16 YEAR OLD PLAYER IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC AND PAID HIM 2.2 MILLION DOLLARS TO SIGN A CONTRACT. IN INTERNATIONAL BASEBALL IS LIKE THE OLD WEST ANYTHING GOES. NO NEED TO NOTIFY THE OTHER 29 CLUBS. YOU ARE MISTAKEN IF YOU THINK THEY WILL SIGN OLD PLAYERS. BY THE TIME MIGUEL TEJADA WAS 18, HE WAS WEARING A MLB UNIFORM AND MAKING MLB PAY. THE DADS THAT KEEP SAYING THEY WILL FIND YOU ARE FREE TO LOOK AT MY LIST OF ABOUT 600 RELESED PLAYERS. ALOT OF THEN CAN DO A 6.6 IN 60 YRDS. BEST WAY TO GET FOUND IS TO HEAD OUT THE DOOR.
I USE THE WWW.HENRYSBASEBALLCLUB.COM DICTIONARY. 781 891 0621 OH!!!! AND AVERTISING PROS HAVE TOLD ME THAT BIG LETTERS ARE EASIER TO READ. JUST SO PLAYERS KNOW IN THE MINORS THEY ONLY TELL YOU ONE TIME. IF A BUS LEAVES AT 5 PM YOU ARE THERE AT 4 PM. THERE ARE NO EXCUSES. THE STUFF FROM YOUR LOCKER WILL BE IN THE FRONT OFFICE WITH THE BALACE OF YOUR PAY AND YOU ARE ESCORTED OFF THE PREMISES. YOU ARE TOLD IF YOU RETURN YOU WILL BE CONSIDERED A TRESPASER AND DEAL WITH THE LOCAL POLICE AFTER YOU ARE ARESTED FOR TRESPASING.
henry's been around for quite some time, though not here. i met him years ago at a showcase, handing out cards for the above placement assistance. nice man.
i'm surprised to see his ad here, i don't know if he's helped anyone. most stuff on his website is to small for me to read. but it looks as though he's trying, can't fault him for that.
If it's true that we're all here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

too bad they had to fold. you'd have thought they were better off than that. in this economy i thought they'd have everything in place.......just not enough money i guess. should have never started it.
