Chris McConnell was just named the #6 prospect in the Royals Organization. I believe that one of his parents posts on HSBBW (NJBB). Congrats and good luck as he progresses towards "the show".

Cuban - Not only is he ranked high within his organization, he's also one of the top ranked players in the Pioneer League. Chris is a kid that I followed and listened to some of his games last year and that I can't wait to catch again this year! A very promising future indeed! clap

We are going to really enjoy seeing him step on the field at Kauffman stadium in the near future! The Royals are lucky to have him. Congrats!

wvmtner,
Nothing definite yet... But when he does, what airport would I use and how far is it from the complex?

njbb

Ontario is the easiest and shortest. It usually costs about $50 plus more per ticket but to me, it is well worth it. It is only about a 40 minute drive from there to the field.

LAX could take 1.5 hours to 4.5 hours depending on the time of day. I would fly into Las Vegas before I used LAX. We do it all the time when we fly back east.

The player that stayed with us last year tried both airports (ONT and LAX) Said he would never ever go to LAX again if he had a choice.

Congratulations to Chris and to njbb. Little doubt there has been an awful lot of effort and at least as much support for Chris to get to this point.
Honestly, that is one of the very best reviews of a player I have read by BA. When the listed "weakness" is becoming a better baserunner, one has to wonder if BA is just searching because they have a category to fill. noidea. From his batting average and OBP, little doubt Chris is going to get plenty of practice on the bases. good Will be following very closely those 4/6/06 rosters for this year's assignment.

NJBB, stay away from lax, ontario will save you a couple of hours and a major headache. Enjoy and I will be sure to look for him at the Quake games.
