granted, he has not been called up to the Show (I am thrilled for Sean G and his family) but mine actually did something really neat today ... AA pitcher in national league game against AA Dodgers' team actually ... are you ready for this?... GOT HIS FIRST EVER PROFESSIONAL HIT !!!! He is now batting .500 this season. (His last at bat was at least a ground out and not a strike out.) Yep, kid went the other way with it ... ground ball single to right field. Don't know which thrilled me more .... his outstanding outing (10 BF 5 K's 12 1 BB 1 HB 1 H 0 R) or his hit. But after all is said and done, I do believe it is the hit !!!!
PS Also just realized that he got his first win of the season as well

Call me embarassed. That would be ONE walk. By the way, his K/BB ratio is really good this year and he really helped his ratio yesterday (now 34 K's to 8 BB's in 33.1 innings)

My son had three hits in 12 years. I understand your thought process. It's the pitching that counts though. Sounds like he's doing well. Congratulations!

It is just wonderful to see such a fine young man doing so well. We all know he comes from a great family, and you deserve to enjoy every moment ... especially his first pro hit, LOL!

P.S. I really love his BB/K ratio!!!
