Does anyone have any experience with this camp to be held in December? I know the Coastal staff and program are highly regarded, so I am inclined to think it will be a good camp. Just thought I would ask to see if anyone here has attended and what could be expected.

Thanks for any input you can provide.

My son (and I) did not attend specifically the December camp but did attend one of the fall camps several years ago. This was a great camp with great coaches. There were coaches from different levels attending, instructing, and recruiting. I think there was even a Phillies scout instructing as well. You will be instructed by some of the best college coaches in the country. This camp is well run, well attended, and held at great facilities. If you are interested in going to school at Coastal it behooves you to consider going to this camp. Coach Gilmore put on a lecture about college recruiting and what to expect with a Q&A for about 2 hours. The Phillies scout covered the MLB draft. It was so good I took notes. The first day was instruction, broken down into groups of players by position. They ran from station to station. Well organized and fast moving, not a lot of down time in-between stations. The players are moving constantly. I have been to a lot of showcase/camps were there is a lot of sitting or standing. I was extremely impressed with how well organized this camp was run. The boys were put through standard showcase drills, run the 60, throws from the position etc. The next day, Sunday, the groups were split up into teams and played games. Gilly is “old school”; it’s all about respecting the game.

Please feel free to send me a PM. I am very familiar with this camp and the CCU baseball program.

CCU baseball is “old school”. Good Stuff! GO CHANTS!
