Baseball Northwest (baseballnorthwest.com) has posted a list of early commitments from the 2008 class. The list includes only BBNW alumni. Anyone missing from this list, and any comments?

There are a few more I'm aware of but they haven't made it public yet so can't comment. It is definitely a bumper crop from Eastern Washington.. nearly as many as Western Washington with a much smaller population base from which to draw.
The baseball circle is close-knit. The players are well-known and talk goes around. I doubt it is coming from the schools, but rather from the players, the parents, the coaches of the players, etc. Bum Jr. is on that list (WSU) and each of the the Coug prospects listed were at the official visit.. so the info is correct.
Believe, plan, do.

My son's teammate, Michael Wesner, has committed to OSU.
Michael is a prototype first baseman - about 6'3" lefty with a terrific bat, elegant swing reminiscent of Will Clark, great eye hand coordination, and is a regular Hoover at first base.
He was MVP at the BBNW PNW Championships, which really is what put him on the radar. Before then, he had done very little to market himself, and was out most of the summer with a hamstring pull.
There is a boy at my son's Eugene hs who has told teammates he's verbaled with OSU. He is not on the list, so I don't know what that means. Guess we'll wait and see. I know he was on a BBNW team in Arizona. Hope it all works out for him.

Knighttime, thanks. One thing I know is the coaches do talk amongst themselves. A lot of this is out of respect so that they are not recruiting each-other's kids and stepping on toes. So the information is not necessarily coming directly from the school but via a third party coach who relayed it. But I'm not sure. Anyway, congrats to your son's teammate!
