True that. To change the subject...the Seattle A's came back from their southern road trip where they finished up 15-2 down there with a 2nd 1st and 5th place finish in the 3 tournaments they played in. They are currently ranked 6th in the nation and will rise a couple spots after beating 7 top 20 teams down south including the Powerhouse Dulin's Dodgers from Memphis, Tennessee. They have now won 4 tournaments this year with a clean sweep of their tournaments in state. They started off the Connie Mack State tourny with J.T. Zink pitching a 5 hit shutout against the Riptide. He threw on 2 days rest to reset the rotation so Mike Wagner is throwing tomorrow against Midsound. Nick Whitworth is 10-0 this summer with a 1.09 era. Zink is 8-0 with a .79 era and Wagner is 6-0 with a 1.70 era. Not bad for your first 3 starters.

Where are these rankings located? You have mentioned them many times, but you don't state where they are located. Ok, here's my opinion on everything. Chaffey may not play the best teams in the state or whatever, but they still compete. Chaffey is also very young, while teams such as Taylor and the Seattle A's are mostly graduated seniors. Chaffey does only have 4 seniors on their team. I do agree that baseball is played at a very high level in Washington. The state should be very proud. If you went down to say Oregon, where I am from, summer baseball is kind of a joke. The level of American Legion baseball in Oregon is not even close to the level of baseball played up here in Washington. Lets just all get along OK? There are about 5 top teams in the area. Who knows why some teams play other teams. It's not of our concern. Just love and play the game.

Sorry, this is just a little update. Chaffey beat Poulsbo RV yesterday 10-9, even though they gave up 5 unearned runs. The game was a part of the National Prep Invitational. I believe Chaffey plays Taylor again for the championship.

The problem is they used to be the premier select team and the are no longer in that category. The best teams want to face the best competition, and they are not willing to do that. So to hold them in high estem is not correct. Play the best be the best.

At least you've admitted you're high. You're also ignorant of the things that gain esteem for a ball club.

Brute,
I don't think you need to be nasty. He's entitled to his opinion whether you like it or not. It's what makes this site so great. But you'll find you won't make a lot of friends here by name-calling. Welcome to the site, now sit back, take a deep breath and enjoy yourself. smash
