gpct, Congratulations on your son being ranked so high! That's pretty cool that three kids from his school made the top 75 NW list. Should be an exciting year. Has he starting working out with his coaches yet?

No just on his own and with a friend. This time of year it's kind of hit and miss with the outdoor activities, this week is the first dry weather we've had in a month or so.

gpct: I met Sheldon's coach at the civil war game last Friday and we talked baseball for awhile. The team is pretty loaded this year!

Yes, Rob congratulations to you and your son. Did anyone elses son on here make the list? It's a great ego booster for the kids but if they aren't on the list take heart because so much changes from year to year. Most important thing is for them to go out every day and perform at their best and it will come. I know kids that never made the list but they are still playing college ball today.

Pretty interesting list. I know a lot of the kids, of course. It would be interesting to know how some of the choices were made.

He's pretty receptive to suggestions of players he has'nt heard of. He does follow up on leads.

There is an interesting conversation going on another board about this. http://www.tacomabaseball.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=932

That's funny. Sounds like Oregonlive. The comment from the guy about a scout telling him who the top 5 draft choices would be is ridiculous. The good scouts know that no one can tell you this, the draft is just too unpredictable.

It never fails there are always people that complain they are'nt right. I've been following the lists for the last few years. It's pretty amazing how many of the top rated kids that they list at a young age end up playing in college.
