Just went to AOL/XM radio and said to myself lets try a new station today--selected KLTH which plays oldies and next thing I know I am getting a weather report for the OSU game tonight---is the world getting real small or not?

TR, I wish I had seen that weather report about a month ago??
Went to Corvalies for a weekend series at OSU and froze my arse off. Cold and wet, Bite's right through you. Went to the K-Mart and bought Long Underwear for the rest of the series. EH

This is how small it is...my daughter (UP student) is at the OSU/UP game right now. And she has been "texting" my son about the game -- and the weather.
EH -- we were at the OSU/UW game on the Sunday that everyone froze to death. We're locals, and we still shiver and moan about the cold! Smart you -- getting some long johns! And last evening we were pelted by hail while watching son's jv game. The boys played on...I hunkered down under the giant umbrella with my scorebook. That's nw baseball!

Oh there have been some cold, windy, spitting rain games this spring. Even today (as you know) it is high of 50.
My son's HS has a turf baseball field. Here's the downside: nothing gets rained out - just rain delays when it showers, then yank the tarp off the mound and start it up again.
So games can drag on for 3 hours or more, all the more enjoyable in 45 degree wind. Brrr!
Sometimes we sit up there and wish for the good old days when we would have known at 10:00 AM that there would be no game!
We have been at all of the games mentioned and also darn near froze to death. We even went to Arizona and it rained and we froze. Tired of cold baseball weather. Can't complain about last Saturday though.
