As I see Bob is shutting down the HSBBW site next week (sniff!) I just wanted to say what a pleasure it has been meeting some of you and chatting with many more. Kevin is playing for the Kirkland Kodiaks this summer and planning to attend Everett Community College next year. Hope I get to see a few of your familiar faces again in the stands in the future.

Harbormom,

We played Penninsula last night for the Championship and it brought back fond memories of you finding me several years ago. We will have to meet up at ECC to see some games this coming spring. Levi Lacey is a good coach and I hope Kevin likes it there!!! Lets not lose touch !!

Alan,

That is a fond memory. I still remember getting up my courage to walk up to a stand full of people and start asking for my HSBBW fellow webster. I approach the kindest looking face, and it turns out to be you.

Kevin is coaching a U18 team called the Narrows Yankees this summer, so you might run across him. They are playing this weekend in the Midsound Memorial Day tournament. Is Alex playing summer ball?

He's got a lot on his plate this summer. He is just helping out with the Yankees when he isn't busy playing himself. He's also working doing part-time construction general labor; luckily his employer is a baseball dad and will excuse him when he has a game. It's good to see him work things out for himself and set his own direction. They do grow up!

I hope you don't mind my tagging on here. I haven't popped in for a while but was checking in on everyone from time to time. I know many of you I didn't get to me in person but this message board was invaluable as our son went through the process through his '03 graduation. He did play college ball, but not the best "fit" for him - which is soooo important. This was our first spring without basball and it was really weird!! Best of luck to all of you as the young men go forward into whatever they choose to do. Catchersdad, its hard to believe Alex is graduating! Take care all and as long is the board is up, I'll still check in....
