Son's Eastern Wa. '08 team is 2-0, beating Montana/Wyoming 9-7 and Utah 4-3. Hoping to reel off two more victories tommorow so we can get into the championships like last year. Anyone else with results? Comments?

My son's team lost in the 09 finals

Rob, sounds like a great ride.. Rusty's '08 team lost in the championship game last year, too. This year the team was only 2-3, but he won his start handily. He did great in the Mariner Cup, too.. 3 IP 5k's only 1BB and he picked him! Allowed 1 infield single and picked him, too. No runs. If you have a chance to get your son on the Mariner Cup roster next year try to do so, it was a great experience. At the very least take your kid to Safeco to go watch those kids play. The talent-level was amazing.

Did you play any games at Lake Oswego High School? That is our field. Pretty nice, huh?

Rob, Rusty threw the first game on your field. That is a very nice high school baseball field but we had a dickens of a time finding the access! (Are the high taxes in Oregon now paying for Field Turf?)

yeah the field is kinda tucked away. We get several forfeits a year because of it

And yeah, some of it was paid for by a bond issue. But we get a great deal because the field turf franchise for the NW is owned by our head football coach!
