Hard to say..but I hear Auburn is awesome. Woodenville lost tonight to Bothell 9-1.
Lake Washington beat Redmond in a thriller 9-8.
Marysville sounds like they're playing well. I think there are a bunch of really good teams, and we'll have to wait until next weekend to see who makes it out of regionals. Should be fun.

Even over here in Korea, word has reached us that Auburn is HOT this year.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T, find out what it means to me...

Burlington-Edison, with a record of 21-2, gets no respect. Even being ranked #4 in the state 3A ranks, means nothing... They didn't do it by accident though!

Won District Championship yesturday, but theyr'e not done yet, we play Timberline in regionals this coming Saturday. Anyone know anything about them?

Finally Lake Washington beats Woodinville 3-1 in a very exciting game. With Tui striking out to end the game the Kangs go to the Regionals for the first time since 97'. They play North Kitsap...don't know anything about them. Anybody out there familiar with them? Here's the 4A bracket.
Class 4A state regionals

Saturday's games

Region I (at Everett Memorial Stadium)

— Capital (19-4) vs. Marysville-Pilchuck (19-4), 11 a.m.; Auburn (21-0) vs. Hudson's Bay (21-1), 2 p.m.
Region II (at Kent Memorial Park)

— Kentwood (13-9) vs. Bothell (16-7), 11 a.m.; Evergreen-Vancouver (15-8) vs. Edmonds-Woodway (20-4), 2 p.m.

Region III (at Heidelberg Park, Tacoma)

— Federal Way (18-4) vs. Curtis (19-4), 11 a.m.; North Kitsap (19-3) vs. Lake Washington (17-6), 2 p.m.

Region IV (at Spokane Falls CC, Spokane)

— Southridge-Kennewick (15-9) vs. North Central-Spokane (16-7), 10 a.m.; Spokane #2 (Shadle Park or East Valley-Spokane) vs. Kennewick (19-3), 1 p.m.

Catchersdad,
Hope to see you there, I'll be the loud one in the wheelchair!

I suppose WHEN we both win, we'll play each other. Is that right?

Catchersdad,

Congrats to Mt. Rainier on making the playoffs.
Hopefully Highline can play Mt. Rainier in the championship.

Maybe Pitchinsides team will be there.

As some of you may have noticed I haven't been around the boards lately.

I have been busy moving to the Key Peninsula. Its been a long month.

I just got me internet back up this week and hope to be little more active again.

Catchersdad,
So happy to see Alex having a great year. Been following you guy in KCJ whenever I can. Good luck this weekend. Our guys are very excited....we haven't been to State in number of years. Don't know anything about North Kitsap, but I'm sure they must be strong team. Hope to see you in Everett for final four.

Catchersdad,
Update.... It seems as though the games havebeen moved to Sherman Anderson Field for tomarrow due to the Skagit Valley College team making the play-offs for the first time.

This field isn't quite as nice, but the mound is still 60'6" and the bases are still 90' apart.

Good luck to all, I'm a wreck, Mike throws the first game at 10:00.

Catchersdad,
It was sure a pleasure meeting you yesturday! Sorry I was less than converational, but the boy was on the hill noidea

Boy what a finish you guys had! Too bad the score wasn't reversed, would've been fun to match up against another webster!

We did beat them for you though, 6-0!

So now we face Issaquah on friday, should be the toughest one so far, they've got some darn good arms. Hope we bring the bat bags rolleyes

Krack,
Look forward to meeting you and yours this summer. Mike was the "Player of the Game" in the opener, and Jake Lazzari (just a sophomore) was "Player of the Game" in the nightcap!

Go Tigers!

Found out that the year Mike was born was the Year of the Tiger! Kinda fitting, don't you think?

Pitchinside,

It was a delight to meet you and I totally understand, I wanted to let you enjoy that special time with your son and his team! Congratulations on your regional title and a trip to Everett for a State Title! I will be pulling for your son to pitch well and to enjoy his time in the sun!I will be in Everett for the Hudsons Bay game with Kentwood for sure as my son plays with the Vancouver boys in Portland in the fall, plus he has several friends on the Kentwood team.I will look to see when you play to see if I can watch both. I know HB and KW are at 1.
Best of Luck at State!!!

Year of the Tiger, Eye of the Tiger, Go Tigers!! I love high-level baseball when it's coming out of smaller communities.
Pitchinside, still haven't caught a snippet of digital video, but I will try shortly. One of my side jobs is taking photos of the players around here and turning them into 5x7 'baseball cards' - the camera's memory has been repeatedly filled the last couple of weeks due to this, but I only have one more team to get through and can then purge the card and try for the in-action stuff.
