My 07 son was invited to a PG underclass showcase in Jan. He has not showcased previously. He is currently doing conditioning, some BP and Throwing with his HS. They are also involved in a winter league, but I am not sure how long the weather will hold out.

My questions are: Do the evaluators take into consideration that a Jan. showcase is out of season? Is it a mistake to go to a showcase if you are not game ready (have not played highly competive baseball for a couple of months)?
