What is the typical format or agenda for a showcase? Do players attend as individuals or in teams? Are they grouped into teams for games or do they just get workouts at their respective positions?

I have a freshman infielder so we will play summer travel and HS ball and look at showcases next
summer.

Thanks for any comments.

jfp, they are usually some variation on this list: running the 60, fielding balls batted by the organizers/coaches at your position and throwing across the diamond for infielders, or from the outfield, Pop times for catchers, batting practice, and then some form of simulated game in which the pitchers do their things. I have been to some showcases where the pitchers throw in the bullpen only, with no simulated game. Good luck to you and your son!
