My son and I just got back from the headfirst camp in McKinney and I had to post my thoughts. These guys are the real deal. This was the best run camp/seminars/college information I have ever been to. The sullivans and their team are professional, knowledgeable, ex players and run a world class organization. I always go in skeptical but I was blown away at how good these guys are at what they do. We had 72 plaqyers and 45 coaches from the best academic schools in america. The coaches were accessible the entire weekend. Anyone ever considering this event needs to jump on it. It was awesome

lowfog,
Glad to hear you liked the camp. My son is going to the Richmond III camp in August. Did you get any feed back from the coaches while at the camp? Have you heard from any of the schools that saw him?

Any feedback about the interaction between the players and coaches would be appreciated.

lowfog,
I am interested in getting more feedback from you about Headfirst camp/showcase. My son just did winning game academic showcase. Has your son done any winning game showcases? If so, how do you think they compare? Have you heard from any coaches? My son may go to the VA Headfirst in Aug. Any comments or feedback from you would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm also contemplating the Richmond showcase, and I'm trying to decide if it's worth the $800 and if anyone knows any alternatives that might be cheaper or closer to Illinois could help a lot. I'm interested in this person's thoughts.

My son is also going to HeadFirst 3 in VA. He just came back from Perfect Game National Academic. I would love the same feedback you gave Ohiobaseballdad. Sorry to bother you but it would be very helpful to us.

The Headfirst Honor Roll camp is the best showcase around (IMHO). Lowfog's comments are spot on. My son plays for the Headfirst Gamers and I know Brendan Sullivan and Justin Cronk and they and the rest of the Headfirst staff are great guys and they run a very professional organization. Son went to the Headfirst Camp in Richmond in 2007 and 2008 and there were 60-70+ college coaches in attendance and they were all in uniform. Check out their site www.playheadfirst.com If your son has good grades and wants to play college baseball, he needs to attend this showcase. Do a search on this site and you should find more information. Hope this helps.

This showcase is the real deal, but remember the coaches there are looking for players that meet their school's academic requirements, which are HIGH.
