i have a question about these what exactly do you do when you are there? And do you use metal or wood bats?

You run the 60yd dash.
You may throw - shortstop position for infielders, Outfield for outfielders.
If you are in the top 10-12 in those catagories, then you will bat - using wood.
That was our experience last summer.
