If a high school player is offered a fee "waiver" or "scholarship" to attend a showcase and be seen by scouts, does this pose a problem with college eligibility? Sort of feels like the athlete is being given something. Anyone know the rules on this?

KCbaseball,
Since there was just a recent thread regarding how confusing the NCAA is, you need to call them and get clarification or go to the website to find it.
Might depend on a lot of different things.

TPM is correct. Get clarification.
Generally I believe if it is directly related to expenses and not some bonus or payment it should be okay. You can receive payment to cover expenses but call and clarify.
