My son is an '06 catcher from southern California and we are looking forward to traveling back east to attend the College Select Baseball Showcase in Binghamton NY August 15th - 18th.

He was invited to paticipate in the PG National Showcase this past June at Turner Field in Atlanta and we decided he would attend 1 more showcase this summer. I have been a big fan of the HSBB for the past few years and have always enjoyed reading the posts by TRhit aka Tom Rizzi of College Select Baseball.

I just happened to read a previous post by TRhit congratulating all 32 '05 players on his College Select travel team for having committed to play ball either in College or at the pro level. I think both the players and Tom Rizzi should be commended for that awesome accomplishment.

I am totally looking forward to meeting both Tom and his wife in Binghamton. It will be great to put a face to the "TRhit" name.

Will any other HSBB posters be attending?
Tom, is it a wood bat showcase?

stonewalls mom

The event is metal bat with the BP being done in wood -- we supply the bats for the BP session

This way we get to see the kids swing both materials and get a good feel as to their ability at the plate
