Area Code Tryouts

Is there a deadline of when an application can be sent in?
Or better yet what is the best time to send in an application? How close to the actual try outs?

my son's coach received a handwritten letter from a local Rangers scout-
"Would like to invite **** to the Texas Rangers Area Code Tryouts. Please forward the enclosed information card to him and have him return it."

My son did as asked but is that the invite or will he be sent something else? Thanks.

I find it interesting to compare the tryout locations with the team location.

Washington has one tryout...in Oregon! Go figure

Anyone know the statistics for how many sophomores have ever made an Area Code team? Just curious!

I know of a couple from the Houston area that made it last year-not sure exactly how many-2 or 3 I think.

My son received his actual "invite" last week and is thrilled to be going (as are his parents!) Hope it's a great experience for all who are going.
