PGStaff, saw that you let them put some of the kids through their SPARQ evaluation. Is the SPARQ testing going to become a normal evaluation at your showcases? Is PG going to begin using the SPARQ results to project?

Sorry I didn't notice your question earlier.

Sparq will be testing athletes at a few select events this year. Testing could be made available at most or all PG events. Only those who elect to be tested will be tested. It will not be mandatory for any player to take the Sparq testing.

We believe there is a definite value to the Sparq testing. Especially valuable will be the complete version that includes vision testing.

Some might argue, but we sincerely believe in the more information we have on a player the better it makes the evaluations and projections.

For those who might think it takes a high Sparq score to be a prospect... Not true! Baseball is a game that requires a lot more than pure athletic ability. The best athlete is not going to be the best prospect very often in baseball. Sparq tests athletic ability not baseball ability. They are very big into football, especially before the NFL draft.

Sparq scores can be improved with training and repetition. We have noticed that players seem to improve their Sparq scores the more often they are tested. The Sparq group is very good at what they do and players can improve their athletic ability working with them.

Sparq testing is done at no cost to the player. In fact, often Sparq gives out free T-Shirts and other items to each player tested. They tested some 600-800 players at our tournaments in Georgia a couple weeks ago. They were at our National Showcase and they will be in San Diego for the Aflac Classic.
