I just received an invite to the perfect game underclassman showcase in Florida. I'm a junior out of olathe, KS so it'll be a long trip. My question is, is it worth the money? Airfare and all it'll be very expensive. Or does any one know of any fundraisers I can do to raise money?

You will see some of the best underclassmen in the country. If you want to see how you stack up, go.
My 2008 went as a soph and Jr. GREAT experience!
Good luck!!!

I have to second that last post 100%. My 08 went and it was a great experience. If you can make it happen I would go for sure.

It is worth it is a subjective question. Because if you do not have the tools to show well, then what's the point. What is your goal in going? To get get a rating,? what if your rating is lower then you expect? Just know why you are going, set a goal.

I have been to several of these and I can say that I enjoyed them as much as Jupiter.

I think the best thing about the Underclassmen event at Ft Myers is that you get to see alot of kids that you never heard about before - but will most certainly hear about in the future.

Lots of very talented young men - just beginning to find their sea-legs.

A fantastic event every single time I went.

If you can do it - do it IMO.

You spend a good piece of your life gripping a baseball, and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time. ~Jim Bouton, Ball Four, 1970

You go to see how you stack up against the other players from across the nation. It gives you a good idea of what is really out there. If your afraid to measure yourself against other players then by all means its not the place for you. But if you want to see then go. Remember you dont have to have all five tools to make a name for yourself. Sometimes you only have to have one tool that really stands out. If you do go you will see alot of really good players. Good luck.

Yes I agree very good time. It's nice to get to talk to different parents and these top players; from other parts of the country. This will be our second year.

last year while in Ft Myers, we ran into a few EC Astros (as well as others)parents and players we had palyed earlier in the year. It was nice just talking to everyone and my son found great to see the other players not as the opposition.
