I looked at the rosters for the NW showcase, very few top D1 caliber 2009 names except for Michael Englund, James Robbins, and Brian Wolfe.
I wonder if PG held this too late in the summer and players were too tired or had moved onto fall sport tryouts.

I haven't seen the results yet, but did hear that Michael Monster was throwing 93 at that event.

Boy, and I thought my kid had a unique name! So does Monster throw a Monster Ball? Does he wear Monster Dog sun glasses? If someone jacks him, is that a Monster Mash?

That kid is a Monster.
He's got a Monster fastball.

That is a Monster of a name for a baseball player.

I saw video of this kid....at a tryout in L.A.....with the Doggers.......and Leo Durocher was there and....he threw so hard he bowled the catcher over...and.....oh, wait....sorry, that was Herman Munster.

Never Mind (or is it "Never more!")

Love his last name! He doesn't look too "monstrous", but looks wiry and strong:

I hope if the young man happens to read this thread, he doesn't think anyone here means to tease him - he does have a GREAT name for a pitcher!

Call me crazy, Julie, but I'm guessing that we're not the first, and certainly won't be the last, to go down this road! Big Grin

I remember that episode with Herman Munster. It was hilarious. Man I loved that show. I also liked Gillagan's Island , BeWitched , I Dream of Genie and The Andy Griffith Show.

I always dreamed of being trapped on the Island with Ginger. Or trapped in the bottle with Genie. The Munsters was just funny. And Aunt B got on my nerves. Opie got on my nerves. Gomer I wanted to kick in the ***. But Barney was worth watching the show for.

Sorry I am crazy too!

I was a wrestler in high school. My first match was against a kid with the last name "Frankenstein". I was psyched out before the match began. When the whistle blew, he punched me in the nose and the blood began to flow. The next thing I knew, I was on the side of the mat getting smelling salts and gauze crammed up my nostrils. He then proceeded to put me in an illegal Full Nelson and pinned me.

Which is why I love baseball.

Ginger, Genie........nah, they've got nothing on Lily Munster! Despite the ghoulish make-up, she was HAWT!

I just hope no one starts to make conjecture about the parents' possible given names. It could get ugly.

Krak, the National Enquirer recently ran an unconfirmed story about Mr. Monster. Some tongue-in-cheek facts:

Parents: Maxwell Smart and Agent 99.
Place of Birth: Transylvannia. The usual way.
Siblings: Kaos and Control.
Favorite Movie: Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Favorite Food: Nails. (Whoops, I mean "snails").
Favorite Energy Drink: Dumb question.
College major: Animation or Reanimation. Not sure.
Fastball Goal: 120.
Pitching Coach: Uncle Herman.
