Son received invite for tryout saying you been scouted and invited by area scout to attend this event.Fee $40 which isn't bad if they do what they advertise.Never heard of Baseball Factory or Team One.Any feedback concerning event or comments on sponsors of event would help.

My son was a PUMA All American last year. He did not have to pay for a tryout. The last 2 years the showcase was held in Arizona. It costs big bucks to attend and when we went there really weren't any colleges or scouts there. This is held in January and colleges are unable to attend. My son had a great time playing ball and being in Arizona for a weekend but, if you are looking for exposure to college and pro scouts, this is not the event for that. Only my opinion and experience from last year. You can read about it at www.teamonebaseball.com . The event was last weekend.

My son and I went to the PUMA event mostly to see Arizona and for him to continue to prepare for a tryout here in NJ that he had on Saturday. The Team One event was well organized and the weather and facility were great. That's about all I can say positive about it. It was way overpriced for what you received although Clint Hurdle was nice to everyone and Rick Sofield was a good speaker. IMO, they are about the money. If you are looking for a professional baseball scouting service the employs the best in the business and draws an amazing number of colleges and scouts to events, Perfect Game is what you need. In fact, Team One's best guy just jumped to PG. That tells you something too.

Blaine Clemmons

The time of year the event occurs effects the number of college coaches attending. If the event is during a dead period there won't be college coaches there. It appears summer showcase events are the most popular with college guys. Th PG Jupiter tourney in the fall is also extremely popular.

Clemmons is correct. He is now with PG and covered the WWBA championship brilliantly.

The Puma tryout also will get you invited to other events, such as Teamone West, Teamone East, ect.ect.,Also Cape Cod Classic. And those are put on in the summer.
Teamone puts on a very well put together Tournaments/Showcases.
Nothing wrong with playing on both sides of the street!!!!
