2010 son invited to try out for a team to play in the Fall Classic. Team coached by Nate Trosky. Has anyone played for one of their teams or know someone who has. Out issue is living in western Colorado and traveling to CA for a tryout is expensive. Has anyone ever heard of making a team like that without actually appearing for the tryout? If so, how could it be achieved?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

. I would suggest that you call Nate..I know him well enough to know that he would not only take the call, but would be understanding and likley offer suggestions/insight.

I'll second the suggestion to call Nate directly. He is a good guy who will probably be able to figure out a way to make things work. Perhaps he will know someone in your area that can validate your son's skills for him?
Son had a friend that went to Fall Classic on Nate's team in 2007. 08Son was playing on a different team and I was along as the driver for both my son and his friend.
Nate was very fair to all with regard to playing time - and I personally saw him hustling around getting coaches to come watch this kid or that. This is actually one of the more important functions of a coach at the fall classic.
