So right now I run a sub 7 consistently. The thing is I when I try to bend over and touch my toes I am no where close to even touching them. If I were to work on my flexibility would this in turn help with my speed and quickness as well?

"...and they said I couldn't do it."

I know my son's trainer measures the range of motion/flexibility in all his joints - knee, hip, elbow, shoulder. He has specific exercises aimed at improving that range/flexibility. Try PM to John Doyle who often posts in the "Strength and Conditioning" forum.

One of my pet peeves. Flexibility is the key to baseball. You can't field the ball if you can't reach the ball. It also increases your bat speed and speed of arm. You can't be to flexible. Work on it.

Hustle never has a bad day.
