AgentDad and Nj Pitch, I was talking to my dad about this post last night after I replied to see if he could pin point exactly what it was for me, and he said that it the one big problem was I too wasn't able to get all my legs into my pitching, until I constantly worked on it for a while, and by this I mean making sure I used all my legs and all of my hips in my mechanics, than all of a sudden everything just clicked.
I also had to prepare myself mentally and not let it bother me that I could throw harder than I could pitch. Once you let it bother you, you've already lost, you have to get the idea out of your head and be positive that with hard work it will come around and you'll be able to have the same velocity and be as effective as you already are now with the added velocity to your pitching.
I hope this helps, I'm always happy to go over what I did to make it work for me if you want some advice.
I never threw an illegal pitch. The trouble is, once in a while I toss one that ain't never been seen by this generation
