I think it's possible snce Bobby Richardson did it in 1960 and Luis Tiant did it in 1975. There were two different MVP awards in those days. If he breaks Reggie Jackson's homerun record it is certainly possible.
Wasn't that odd that Utley hits the homer that ties him with Jackson for the most ever in a world series, then the next batter, Ryan Howard, ties the all-time world series strikeout record!
How bout Jeter or Damon from the yanks? A-rod is hitting around 220 Feter and Damon around 364 and 381. If Phillies win Utley for sure, he sures plays the game right.

Posad around 313 Matsui I think around 550 or so. Agree Mid, Rivera has done a great job and not just for the ninth inning, they been calling him in before that the entire post season. SI had a great article on Rivera a couple weeks back, great reading

If the Phillies win there is no doubt imo. If the Yankees win then I think its going to be Arod. Of course if it goes 7 games alot can happen. I for one hope it goes 7 because I dont think there is anything as exciting in sports as a 7th game in the WS.

If it goes seven, and CC wins it, I think they might give it to CC.
"of course GW. We, after all, have a special relationship."
Yes we do!
Now for the umpteenth time...would you please take out the trash? And throw out those smelly slippers of yours! Have you seen the sour face Frisky puts on when you ask him to fetch them?

I don't think Utley could hit CC. He went 0-3 when CC was in.
You might want to check those box scores again. I think Utley went something like 4-6 with 3 HR's and a double off CC in CC's two starts. Maybe a walk in there for extra measure.
In CC's defense, they are pitching him on short rest, which was what finally broke him last year, too. And, that first start (7 innings with only 2 runs, both on Utley solo shots) was a strong outing even though he got hung with the L.
