Cliff Lee summarized effective pitching in one sentence: Get ahead, mix your pitches, work both sides of the plate. (anybody can say it; he went out and did it)

If you've delved where I've delved Bum you'd be pretty cheesy too!
I was born in "the land of cheese, trees, and ocean breeze", but our family moved before I could enroll at Tillamook High School so, sadly, I never officially became a "Cheesemaker".
As for my cheesy reservoir? It's the No. 1 seller...thank you very much!
I think the Mouth watering Sign is its strongest feature...wouldn't you agree?

There is nothing wrong with the Yankees. They got a good pitching performance from CC. They just ran into a guy that threw one heck of a game. The Phillies are very good. There is a reason they are the defending WS champions. This whole series can turn tonight and I believe it will. I believe it will go 7 and I believe that there is no doubt the best two teams in baseball are playing for all the marbles.
A great pitching performance can make the other team look bad. And the next game out it can turn around and look entirely different. And I believe it will.

What I find interesting is the constant talk the Phillies are up against the hallowed Yankees. The Phillies won last year. They know what it takes. There are only a handful of Yankees who have been there and done it.
There's no pressure on the Phillies from having won last year. The pressure is on the Yankees from (most) having not won a World Series and to avoid Steinbrenner Jr and the media from going off on them.

If I was a Yankees fan, and I'm not, I'd be concerned about my bullpen. They look a little shaky; of course if that lineup can get them a lead late then of course Mr. Rivera takes care of business. Anyway; looks like it has the makings of a great series and I hope she goes all 7.

Woody, I was 5 in 1970, therefore I'm sure that was me flicking the marble in that pic. I can tell by the handsome mug and look of concentration. Should I have my lawyer contact yours regarding royalty payments?
