My son an 05 pitcher. was 6'0'' 150 lbs before he started to do some real conditioning a few months ago He has always lifted used bands and threw on a weekly basis. a few months ago his summer team started running and strenth conditioning 3 days a week. now for the last few weeks his High school team has "involintary" conditioning running and lifting. He is going to both programs. He stamana is up he feels strong but ....ha has lost 8 pounds.....yes he does eat ..but you cannot force it on him.

Should he tell his summer coach that he can not condition with the team at this time?

Make him drink a milkshake and eat a peanut butter sandwitch (if not allergic to peanuts) at night - EVERY night before bed. You'll be amazed at what it will do.
