Is it ever going to quit? Hasn't been this much in 35 yrs. 12 of the last 13 days we've had very measurable snow. The season seems so far away.

Callaway,

Do you have a guest house that can hold six people and two dogs?

UGGGG !!!!

I keep telling myself that if it gets it all out of its system now - we may have a nice spring to watch baseball. (That is my dream, I am sticking with it and if anyone tries to tell me otherwise I will send all this snow to them.)

mom, yep, this has been a strange year!! I think we hit an all time record for snow on the ground!!! Your first games might not start until June!! Omaha has been hammered badly!!

As they say, thanks for sharing!!! People down south every once in a while need a since of reality!!

Trying to get out west but wonder what this place will look like when we get back. Hope the roof doesn't cave in!!!

BBwatcher,
Yes Omaha has been blasted, we were in Omaha two weeks ago at the Softball Factory for a 14u tournament with our daughter. Great indoor facility. It snowed 12" that weekend and I believe you got another 15" last weekend. Currently we have 10" on the ground with more comeing, winter is long around here.

I'm supposing the fact we have 4-5 foot icicles hanging from every inch of our roof is a bad thing.

Here's my theory...the snow is piled so thick that it's forming insulation so the small amount of heat escaping through the roof is melting it? Death by icicle, groan.

AParent,

"I keep telling myself that if it gets it all out of its system now - we may have a nice spring to watch baseball."

You are absolutely right! I remember several winters where the late winter/early spring was mild and snowless, then it snowed a bunch in the two weeks leading up to first baseball games, and we missed the first 4 or 5 games of the season. Snow now is GOOD! We will have a WARM spell in March and it will all MELT! But I'm vacationing in Florida the end of March, so if I'm wrong, I'm NOT coming back!
