Last year, my junior son used a 32-29 Omaha bat. Gonna buy him a new one this weekend. They have a new 32.5 / 29.5 size bat. He has a very quick bat, but size-wise, he's really no bigger than last season. He has gotten moderately stronger, but not that much.

Personally, I don't think an ounce or two is noticable to a HS kid in a blind swing test. I'm either gonna go with the new 32.5/29.5 or
33/30. We have had very good luck with Omaha bats and won't change. Dear old dad here thinks the half an ounce lighter swing would seem to make a difference, but I probably know deep down it wont.

I would appreciate any comments or recommendations of which one to buy.

Thanks

Lefty coach,
IMO - If he is ahead of the pitch more than 50% of the time with 29oz then another 1/2 would not hurt. I would make the determination based on his timing he has with fastballs.
