That is a very high % of D1 colleges making changes. I don't believe that that is an unusual amount of changes so it shows that there is a fair risk in coaches who recruit you not being there for the 4 years you are at the college. Also the change in HC usually means the other coaches go as well.
I see one change on the list that effected my friends 3 roommates 3 years ago. He sent them packing and now he is gone. Coach change is a much bigger factor than most realize.

Good to see Dan Spencer get the Texas Tech job.

Think it was a coincidence that the year he left OSU as pitching coach their team ERA went up by more than a full run?

He's a terrific guy, and it is great to see him get his own program.

Question:

Do these coaches have to sit out one year due to transfering within the D1 ranks?

Thompson was hired at HPU, then offered the pitching coach position at one of the SEC schools...and he took that, with HPU's blessings, I understand, so he could be near his ill father. It all appears to have been above board.

If we made the coach sit a year, what would be next.
Maybe reducing his salary(scholarship) a the end of the year for new incoming coach, then reducing his coaching time in half or maybe even redshirting him?

This is not a head coach change, but long time assistant Chad Holbrook at UNC has accepted a job at South Carolina as associate head coach.
